Worldview- the way a group looks at and sees the world. Everyone’s worldview will be different based on their environment, the past, culture, traditions, customs and much more!
Community- a group of people who live in the same area and take ownership of that area through common characteristics.
Primitive- the first or earliest kind of culture or group of people. This term should no longer be used to describe societies and cultures but has been used in the past, especially in Canada to describe groups different from Europeans.
Civilized- having a highly developed society or culture that is usually well organized, and is advanced morally and intellectually. Labelling a society ‘civilized’ is based on the institution or individual’s worldview who makes the label.
Ethnocentrism- is the belief that one culture’s way of doing things is normal and correct, and that the culture should set the standard for other cultures.
Institution- an organization (such as a business), or group that comes together to provide services to meet the needs and wants of a community.
Services- 1. A valuable action, deed or effort performed to meet the need or fill a demand. 2. Something provided by a company.
Civilization- the society, culture, and way of life of a certain area (on a large scale).
